HOW WELL ARE YOU PREPARED FOR YOUR FORTHCOMING EXAMINATIONS ? 

As a prospective examination candidate who's examinations are just around the corner, expectations from our parents, teachers, friends, associates and even ourselves would be high and by all means, we would want to live up to expectations. At this point the question that comes to mind is, HOW PREPARED ARE YOU FOR YOUR FORTH-COMING EXAMINATIONS??? 

The matter gets even more complex when the examination in question is an online examination or computer based test (cbt) which unfortunately still sounds strange in the ears of so many young Nigerians. 

A Recent survey conducted by the IAF SAWII group in Idimu Lagos, revealed that despite the fact that the Jamb UTME examinations has been conducted twice already as computer based test, candidates that sat for the examinations this year 2016 still came out with woeful tales of how they did not know what to do in the hall while sitting in front of the computer. This is as a result of poor awareness and practice of examination past questions on the computer system, and has accounted for the failure of many candidates over the years and their failure to secure admission into higher institutions of learning, leaving our youths to roam the streets of Nigeria, for another one year ! 

The way out of this problem is to commence intensive sensitization and awareness campaign for the candidates on cbt examination preparations and practice, which would include but will not be limited to the following; 

• the origin, layout and purpose of computer based testing,
• do's and donts of the cbt platform, 
• radioactive buttons to use and to avoid during the cbt exams
• effective time management in the cbt  exams 
• secret techniques to employ in order to beat the platform and ensure a good result. 
• steady and continuous practice of examination past questions with a cbt software

It is important that this be done for the candidates to be sure of an excellent result in his / her cbt examinations.

STOCKFISH NOW IN STOCK !!

Last time we reviewed all about Shrimps / Crayfish /Ayiya as you would understand it, but this time we would be reviewing something else. 

This time it is one of the world's best ingredients for soup / stew / sauce making. 

This time we would be reviewing the popular STOCKFISH !!! 

The stockfish, its origin, use and enjoyment in delicious meals dates back to the early 1900's when early Europeans in the business of seafood farming would preserve their fishes in such a way that it would remain preserved for a whole year or more and the fishes would still retain its nutrients as if it were freshly caught.

This science of preservation soon became popular and the product of this science even more popular as the preserved fishes known as STOCKFISH were confirmed to be tasty, nutritious, and gave off very scintillating aroma, thus stockfish came to stay as that very popular fish ingredient we use to give our soups, stews, sauce and other dishes very wonderful aroma and taste !!

EVER WONDERED WHAT SHRIMPS TASTES LIKE ??

Have you ever wondered what a plate of cooked shrimps tastes like??? 

Yea, i said shrimps !! 

Let's bring it home. The western world knows it as Shrimps, but we Africans know it as CRAYFISH !!! 

Yes, that's what it is called, and i am proud to say, in my local dialect it is known as Ayiya or Oporo !!! ( I am proudly Ibo if you must know..) 

Now, back to my earlier question, 

Have you ever wondered what a plate of cooked crayfish tastes like ?? 

In my bid to spice it up, i could add some Stockfish to it, yea,... it's called okporoko in my local dialect and it has this strong flavor and aroma it adds to your meal !!! 

Garnished with Stockfish and a little of scent leaf to spice it up, ginger, onions, seasoning, and a pinch of salt in a little volume of water depending on the quantity of shrimps you're cooking , cook for 3 minutes on your gas cooker and your shrimps are ready to be served !!! 

WAIT !!!!

First, take a deep breath, draw in the wonderful aroma that's almost intoxicating,.. yessss !!! that's it!! 

Now take a spoonful, slowly,.... into your mouth.
